How we got here
West London Building Co. started in 2009 as two carpenters doing loft conversions in Twickenham. The work grew by referral, and the company grew with it — carefully, and never faster than we could staff properly.
Today we run two or three sites at a time, no more. That limit is deliberate: it means a director visits every project every week, and the person who quoted your job is the person you speak to during it.
Who you will deal with
Every project gets a named project manager who handles the programme, the trades and the building control inspections, and who sends you a written update with photographs every Friday afternoon.
Our carpenters, bricklayers and site managers are directly employed. Specialists such as electricians, gas engineers and stone masons are long-standing subcontractors we have used for years, not names pulled off a list.
What we will not do
We do not price work we have not surveyed, we do not start a job we cannot properly staff, and we will tell you when a project is better suited to a different type of contractor. That honesty is why most of our work still comes from past clients and their neighbours.

We come out, look at the property, talk through what you want and tell you honestly whether it is realistic within your budget.

Costed schedule of works
You receive a written, itemised quotation broken down by stage, along with an indicative programme and payment schedule.

The build
A named project manager runs the site, co-ordinates trades and inspections, and sends you a short written update every Friday.
- 04
Handover & aftercare
We walk the finished project with you, complete the snagging list and hand over certificates, warranties and building control sign-off.
