The brief

An inherited family house that had not been touched since the 1970s. The owners wanted a modern, warm home that still felt Victorian.

What we did

The house came back to brick and joists. New services, insulation and plaster went in, while original cornicing, doors and stair balustrade were removed, repaired and reinstated.

The detail that mattered

Our joiner ran matched sections of skirting and architrave for the two rooms where the originals had been lost, so the finished house reads as one piece.
